Become a member of IrBEA
IrBEA aims to be as inclusive as possible, and wishes to have members representing:
- A wide range of biomass sources and end uses - the use of the term 'energy' in the association's name is not intended to be exclusive of other uses (fibre, chemicals, etc.)
- The public, private and community sectors
- A geographical spread across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
Membership of IrBEA is open to anyone who is interested in supporting the aims and objectives of the Association. The constitution of the association, ratified at the inaugural general meeting in January 1999, sets out the criteria concerning membership. Members are admitted to the Association on receipt of application for membership and acceptance by the Management Committee. Membership is subject to an annual subscription to be determined by the Management Committee. Members may resign from membership at any time by notifying the Secretary of the association. Membership may be terminated by the decision of a quorum of the Management Committee at any time by notice in writing. Only two members of a corporate body shall be eligible to hold positions on the Management Committee of the Association at any one time.
